Trailer ramp

Trailer ramp

Tom spent most of last evening at the Round Rock Tech Shop building a ramp for our trailer. He’s taken just about every class from their offerings so he has full run of the tools at the Tech Shop. The ramp was cut and welded together with the tools at the Tech Shop. The ramp is rated for 1,000 lbs.

Today we had to do some adjustments to the ramp to make the pins that attach the ramp to the trailer, work. It took some filing down of the ends to make them all go in finally.

The golf cart was easily loaded from our garage in a matter of minutes. Wow! This used to take hours trying to jockey the cart back and forth to align correctly with the two removable ramps we used to use. So happy this will be so easy now. It was well worth Tom’s time to get this done.

Now we’re off to the Tech Shop to get the body of the art car built. 6 days to launch.

Swing away trailer jack installed. This is a new addition too. Will allow the trailer, while unhitched, to be moved around.
